James B. Graham, 90, of Ridgefield, died peacefully on Saturday, November 8, 2025. He was the loving husband of the late Erin (O’Brien) Graham and Jane (Asbill) Graham.
Mr. Graham, the son of the late James J. and Helen (Braslin) Graham, was born in New Haven, CT, on October 12, 1935. In 1939 the family moved to New Britain CT. where he was raised. Jim attended Georgetown University and later received an MBA from the University of Pennsylvania. He was honorably discharged from the US Army following his service in Germany in the late 1950’s. Jim and Erin married in 1963 and, after her passing (1985), he found love again with Jane Asbill. Jim and Jane were married for 22 years until her death in 2020.
A recent resident of Ridgefield, Mr. Graham was a retired executive for Travelers Insurance. Jim loved spending time in the garden or reading a good mystery novel. Jim also enjoyed many trips to Cape Cod and, later in life, to South Hero, Vt. He was dedicated to his three children, Thad, Seth and Elizabeth, who he raised after Erin’s passing.
Mr. Graham is survived by his daughter Elizabeth G. Ballotte (husband Justin Ballotte), his son Seth Graham, and his grandchildren Riley, Zachary, Charlie, Sean and Tristan. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews, his brother John Graham of Brooklyn, NY, and his sister Nell Graham of New Britain.
In addition to his parents and his wives, Erin and Jane, Mr. Graham was predeceased by his son, Thad Graham.
A funeral mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, November 18, 2025, at 10:00 AM in Saint Mary's Church; 55 Catoonah Street, Ridgefield. Interment will follow in Saint Augustine Cemetery; 55 Hopewell Road, Glastonbury. There will be no calling hours.
