       1924-2024

Howard B. Boardman, 99, of Shelton, CT, formerly of Ridgefield, CT, husband of the late Josephine (Uccellini) Boardman, died on Friday, May 31, 2024, at St. Vincent’s Medical Center, Bridgeport, CT.

Mr. Boardman was born in Cleveland, Ohio on September 9, 1924, to the late Albert and Helen (Vincent) Boardman.

Howard attended schools in Ohio, Madison, CT, and Norwalk, CT. He graduated from Norwalk High School in 1942 and then enlisted in the U.S. Navy.

Mr. Boardman worked as a carpenter with Union Local # 1700 of Wilton, CT.

Howard along with his wife Josephine resided in Knollwood Road, Norwalk, in a community called Deepwood Acres where they made many life-long friends as they raised their family.  After moving to California and then Florida, Howard and Josephine returned to Ridgefield, CT.

Mr. Boardman is survived by a son Howard Boardman Jr. and his wife Meredith, a daughter Nancy Daly and her husband Kevin. A brother Albert Boardman Jr.  Four grandchildren Christopher Boardman, Jason Boardman, Adam Boardman, and Sean Daly and four great grandchildren Jack Boardman, Oliver Boardman, Eleanor Boardman and Hudson Boardman.

In addition to his wife and parents, Mr. Boardman was predeceased by a son Lester Boardman.

Funeral services will be private.
