Helen Georgette Ayoub
1934 -2024
Helen Georgette Ayoub, 90, of Danbury, died on Thursday, May 9, 2024.
Affectionately known as Georgette, she was born in Danbury on February 11, 1934, the daughter of the late Nahoum and Sadie (Khoury) Ayoub.
She attended Danbury schools, graduated from Danbury High School with the Class of 1951, and later attained her Bachelor of Science degree from Western Connecticut State University.
A long career in finance, Georgette was employed by several local banks as a result of mergers and ended her career as a benefits manager at Richardson-Vicks, a division of Proctor & Gamble.
An active member of her parish, St. Ann Melkite Catholic Church of Danbury, she assisted in many parish functions and capacities.
She enjoyed travel and was an avid fan of UConn Women’s Basketball travelling extensively to attend home and away games.
A woman best characterized as a lady of the old school; gentle, smart, deeply faithful and nobody’s fool. One of the kindest people one would ever know. She will be sorely missed.
She is predeceased by her 4-legged loyal companion, Spicey.
She is survived by a brother, George N. Ayoub and his wife Carol, a niece, Marlene A. Frank and her husband Brian and their daughters Aaliyah and Kaylee, two nephews, Paul G. Ayoub and his wife Elizabeth, and Kenneth M. Ayoub and his wife Lynn and their children Morgan and Parker.
