Guy Michael Rossini

Guy Michael Rossini, 66 of New Fairfield, formerly of Ridgefield, died on Sunday, March 24, 2024.

Guy was born in Norwalk on April 19, 1957 to Paul Rossini and Marie (Pancotti) Rossini. He is survived by his four sons, James (Debani), Mark (Karie), Nicholas and Thomas. Brothers, Paul (Stephanie), Dan (Ellen), John and sister Marianne (Victor). He leaves two grandchildren, Sloane and Jack. Also, his Uncle Vincent Pancotti and Aunts Corinne, Ethel and Marge Pancotti-Chernick. Guy will be missed by his niece and nephews, Kristen Cline, Peter Rossini and Chris Rossini as well as numerous cousins.

Guy attended Ridgefield schools graduating from Ridgefield High School in 1976, where he excelled in both football and basketball. He also attended Yankton College, S.D. where he played football.

Guy was a member of the Ridgefield Italian American club.

Guy for most of his career was a self-employed contractor doing residential and restaurant remodeling and maintenance.

Sports and his family were a big part of Guys life. Having coached his sons in youth football in New Fairfield and Redding and attending any sporting event they participated in. He was avid follower and supporter of all RHS sports but in particularly football, basketball and baseball. He would try and attend as many games as possible.

Guy was quite a character who made friends easily in life and counted many as friends. He loved to make people laugh often by recounting old stories of his and his friends’ escapades. Anything Ridgefield was always big part of his life, the places, people and the history.

Family and friends will be received on Wednesday, April 3, 2024 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Kane Funeral Home; 25 Catoonah Street, Ridgefield. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, April 4, 2024 at 10:00 AM at Saint Mary's Church; 55 Catoonah Street, Ridgefield. Interment will follow in Saint Mary's Cemetery, Ridgefield.

In lieu of flowers contributions in his name can be made to the Ridgefield Boys and Girls club or the American Heart Association.
