George W. Wixon Jr.

George W. Wixon Jr. of Danbury, husband of the late Debra (Taylor) Wixon died on Saturday, December 27, 2025 at Danbury Hospital.

Mr. Wixon was born in Danbury on October 22, 1954, son of Marilyn Wixon Glowney and the late George W. Wixon Sr..

He attended local schools and graduated from Henry Abbott Technical School and was an electrical engineer with Retina Systems of Seymour, CT.

A lifelong area resident, Mr. Wixon was a former member of the Danbury Drum Corps and enjoyed playing steel guitar.  In addition to his aunt, he is survived by three sons, George W. Wixon III and his wife Michelle, David A. Wixon and his wife Danielle, and Peter P. Wixon, Sr. and his wife Sheila, and seven grandchildren, Kross, Zander, Sabryna, Peter Jr., Amber, David Jr., and Danilynn.

Friends will be received at the Jowdy-Kane Funeral Home, 9 Granville Avenue, Danbury, on Friday, January 2, 2026 from 4-7 p.m.
