Ethel May (Purdy) Pancotti, 87, of Danbury, formerly of Ridgefield, wife of the late Rudy A. Pancotti and mother of the late Cheryl A. Pancotti, died on Monday, January 26, 2026 at Autumn Lake Healthcare at Glen Hill, Danbury.
Mrs. Pancotti was born in Newburgh, NY, the daughter of Ethel May and Clarence Harvey Purdy.
A former resident of Ridgefield and presently Danbury, Mrs. Pancotti was a former Nurse's Aide for forty years and presently Home Care.
She is survived by her in law's, Vincent and Corinne Pancotti of Ridgefield and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband, daughter and parents, she was predeceased by three brothers, Clarence, Lester and Horace Purdy.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, February 6, 2026 at 10 AM in St. Joseph Church, Danbury.
Burial will take place in St. Mary Cemetery, Ridgefield in the spring.
There will be no calling hours.
