Elva J. Follows

Elva J. Follows, a resident of Ridgefield, CT, died peacefully on Sunday, May 18, 2025, 3 months after celebrating her 100th birthday. Elva, who was predeceased by her husband, Alan G. Follows, was born and raised in Trenton, Ontario, Canada. She attended Kingston (Ontario) General Hospital and worked as a Registered Nurse prior to moving to Camillus, NY upon her marriage to Alan. Elva worked as a school nurse before retiring to Tellico Village, Loudon, TN in 1994 where she helped initiate 'The Newcomers Club.  

Outside of her nursing career, Elva was a dedicated golfer, Regional Master bridge player and pickleball player. She is survived by 3 daughters, Christine Marano, Jill Follows and Cynthia Enright, 7 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.

As Rumi beautifully said , "Goodbyes are only for those who love with their eyes. For those who love with heart and soul, there is no such thing as separation."
