Elaine L. Molinaro

Elaine L. (Groth) Molinaro, 86, of New Milford, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by her loving family, on December 30, 2021. She was the widow of George J. Molinaro, who preceded her in death in 2015.

Born in New York, NY, on February 19, 1935, to Herbert and Mary (Crouch) Groth, she moved with her family to Newtown, CT where she attended local schools. She married on October 15, 1955, during the “big flood” and eventually settled in New Milford, CT where she raised her family. Mrs. Molinaro worked as a dental assistant, veterinary assistant, and at Connecticut Light and Power, where she worked as an account representative until she retired.

Mrs. Molinaro loved to spend her summers down at the beach on Candlewood Lake, going camping, and spending time with her family and friends.

She was the loving mother of her two children: Peter & his wife Debbie Molinaro of New Fairfield, CT, and her daughter Donna Molinaro of Brookfield, CT.

She adored her grandson Brandon Romero of Brookfield, CT, granddaughter Jessica Sotiro of New Fairfield, CT, granddaughter Barbara Robinson of Hyde Park, NY, and her great-grandson Kyle Sotiro.

She was predeceased by her brother Eugene Groth.

A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Saturday, January 8, 2022, at 11 a.m. in St. Joseph R.C. Church, Brookfield.

There will be no calling hours

All attendees are requested to wear a mask or facial covering.
