Doris Muller Coury

Doris Muller Coury, 93, of Newtown, longtime resident of Ridgefield, died peacefully on Friday, July 26, 2024. She was the loving wife of the late Attorney Elie S. Coury.

Mrs. Coury was born in the Bronx on January 7, 1931; a daughter of the late Frank and Helen (Stahl) Muller. She graduated from Walton High School in 1949, and then went on to attend secretarial school. Mrs. Coury was later married to Elie on December 8, 1970. 

Mrs. Coury is survived by her son, Steven Elie Coury, as well as his four children: Jack, Elizabeth (Lilybeth), Caroline, and Steven.  She is also survived by her sister-in-law, Janet Coury, and Janet’s four children Samuel Coury, George Coury, Suzanne Adams, and Heather Edwards, and by Joseph Dimyan. In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Coury was predeceased by her daughter, Janice Lollie and her son, Greg Coury. Mrs. Coury was also predeceased by her brother-in-law, Louis Coury, and sisters-in-law Genevieve Coury and Louise Dimyan.

A graveside service will be held at Ferncliff Cemetery in Hartsdale, New York on Saturday, August 3 at 10:30 AM.
