Dianne (Dee) Alice Fleischer, age 70, of Danbury passed away on Friday, August 19, 2022, following a recent cancer diagnosis.
She was born in Meriden, CT on January 16, 1952. She received a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Keene State College and a graduate degree from the University of New Haven School of Business.
Dee is survived by her sister and brother-in-law Karen and Joseph Davidson; nieces Kate, Clare, and Siobhan; and grandnephew and niece Henry and Alice.
She was predeceased by parents William and Kathryn (Kennedy) Fleischer.
Dee loved the beach, making yearly trips to Cape Cod.
In recent years, she began enjoying Block Island in the summer and the Caribbean in the winter. No one could body surf the waves on the Cape Cod National Seashore like Dee.
She took time and care with her house and garden, which were always comfortable places to visit. Everyone who knew Dee knew that she was endlessly kind and generous. Beyond that, she was funny and a fantastic baker. She was treasured as a friend and neighbor and valued as a co-worker, but most of all she was fiercely loved as a daughter, sister, and aunt.
A mass in celebration of Dee’s life will be held at 11 am on Saturday, September 10th at St. James Church at 25 West Street in Danbury, CT.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations are made to Regional Hospice, 30 Milestone Rd., Danbury, CT 06810 (203-702-7400, makingthebestofeveryday.org).
