Daniel Broderick Obituary

Daniel M. Broderick passed away suddenly on Sunday, February 8th. He was the husband of Annie (Follansbee) Broderick, also of Danbury.

Dan was born in County Kerry Ireland, son of Denis and Joan Broderick of Currow, County Kerry. He attended school in Kerry, followed by trade school to become a finish carpenter. Dan fulfilled his lifelong dream of moving to the States in 2001, briefly living in Chicago before settling in Maspeth, Queens for several years as he built his construction business, Acara Construction. Dan and his wife Annie met in 2011, married in 2016 and relocated to Danbury in 2016 to make space for their growing family, and have enjoyed being a part of their community here.

Dan loved spending time with his family, traveling, watching Liverpool & Irish football, and hosting gatherings of his large network of beloved friends. Dan will be remembered for his kindness, generosity, humble nature, infectious laugh, hard work ethic, and the tremendous love he had for family and friends. He will be deeply missed by all.

Dan is predeceased by a brother, John Broderick of Currow, Ireland.

In addition to his wife of ten years, survivors include his daughter, Alden, and son Jackson of Danbury, sister Denise Dymond, nephew Jack and nieces Saoirse and Kyla of Perth, Australia, sister in law Sandra Broderick and niece Grace of Currow, Ireland, brother Tommy Broderick, niece Emma and nephew Sebastian of Killarney, Ireland, sister in law Erin Thompson of New Britain, sister in law Alyssa Follansbee and nephews Jude and Samuel Coughlin of Beacon, New York.
