Clara Juliette Kane

Clara Juliette Kane, 11 months, 3 days old, infant daughter of Joseph Martin and Jenna Nicole (Hourani) Kane of Wilbraham, MA, passed away on Sunday, May 12, 2024, at Baystate Medical Center, Springfield, MA. Clara was born in Boston, MA on June 9, 2023.

Clara spent the first five and a half months of her life at Boston Children’s Hospital. She continuously faced adversity with grace, strength, and a smile that lit up the whole room.

By the grace of God, Clara was able to enjoy the rest of her life at home with her family. She loved taking neighborhood walks, making music on the piano and drums, reading books, singing songs with her mom and dad, and hanging out with her loyal dog, Hammer. She traveled all over the northeast to meet friends and family, and always enjoyed her car rides.

Clara transformed everyone she met, and taught us all important lessons of true love and faith. Throughout her journey, she worked with incredible healthcare professionals that changed her life.

In addition to her parents, she is survived by her maternal grandparents: Michel and Hala Hourani,  her paternal grandparents: Michael and Janet Kane, maternal great grandmother Claire Sirgy, paternal great grandmother Vilma Kane,  as well as her loving aunts, uncles and cousins.

The family will receive friends at St. Ann Melkite Catholic Church, 181 Clapboard Ridge Rd., Danbury, on Saturday, May 18, 2024, from 10 a.m. to 12 noon followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 1 p.m.
