Cheryl Ann Ippolito, 75, a beloved mother, grandmother, wife, sister, and aunt, passed away on Thursday, November 9th. Born to the late Constantine and Ethel Vanech and sister to Donna Rondano and Wendy Scianna, Cheryl was an exceptional human being who left an indelible mark on all who knew her.
As a devoted wife of fifty years to Richard Ippolito, Cheryl was a true partner in all of life’s capacities. Alongside Richard, they built a successful livelihood through a building and remodeling family company. In addition, they owned the locally esteemed Post Grocers Market for over 25 years. Despite playing an integral role in their businesses, Cheryl’s first and main priority was providing unconditional love and care for her cherished son, Rainer Ippolito. Later in life, her devotion to Rainer deepened through an undying commitment to his three children, Mason (9), Reagan (5), and Ella (1), who he shares with his wife, Christin Ippolito.
Beyond her immediate family, Cheryl touched those who lived near and far. Her overwhelming generosity was unparalleled and matched by a selflessness that guided her every action. Whether it was through hosting the holidays or life’s special events at her magical North Stamford home, or her willingness to drop everything to come to a loved one’s aid, Cheryl dedicated her days to loving and supporting those fortunate enough to know her. To know Cheryl was to love her, and in return, be loved and cared for in a way that exceeds what most people are able to give.
