Carol S. Tittman, 71, of Danbury, died on Friday, December 25, 2020. Ms. Tittman was born in Newark, NJ, March 1, 1949, a daughter of Jay Tittman of Danbury and the late Eleanor (Gelber) Tittman. A resident of Danbury since 1951, coming from West Orange, NJ, she attended Danbury schools, graduated from Danbury High School with the Class of 1966, and received an Associate’s Degree from Dean College of Franklin, MA. Carol was a retired administrative assistant with Praxair, Inc. of Danbury and a congregant of the United Jewish Center of Danbury. Upon her retirement, Carol devoted many hours addressing issues for the benefit of U.S. Veterans and their respective organizations as well as environmental and animal welfare issues. In addition to her father Jay, she is survived by two sisters, her twin sister, Nancy Keefe (husband Joseph) of Clifton, VA and Barbara Markusson (husband Oli) of Dunwoody, GA, seven nieces and nephews and thirteen grandnieces and grandnephews. Due to the concerns about social gatherings affecting us all at this time, all services will be private. Interment will take place in Mt. Lebanon Cemetery, Iselin, NJ. Contributions in Carol’s memory may be made to the United Service Organization (USO) or Danbury Animal Welfare Society (DAWS).
