Carol E. Hyde

Carol Elizabeth Hyde, 87, of Danbury, wife of the late Albert B. Hyde, mother of Scott E. Hyde and Jeanine L. Moy died peacefully on Tuesday, November 15, 2022, at Danbury Hospital.

Carol was born in Syracuse, NY, on August 4, 1935, a daughter of the late Percy and Helen (Parks) Wilson. She and her family were residents of Carmel, NY from 1969 to 1994. She was a longtime employee of Reader’s Digest in Chappaqua, NY until she retired in 1994.

Carol enjoyed more than 20 years of retirement in Winston-Salem, NC, where she was an avid golfer and bowler.

She spent the last 7 years in the Danbury, CT area.

In addition to her son Scott Hyde (Rori) and her daughter Jeanine Moy (Dewey), Carol is also survived by a brother Michael Wilson (Kathy), a sister Helen Rose, and by five grandchildren Christopher, Sarah, Shane, Zachary and Lucas.

In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Hyde was predeceased by her siblings Bill Wilson, Larry Wilson, and Irene Sorrendino.

Private funeral services and entombment will take place in Rose Hill Memorial Park, Putnam Valley, NY.
