Obituary
Carol A. Ancona, 85, of Deerfield Beach, FL; longtime resident of Ridgefield, died peacefully on Monday, February 27, 2023. She was the loving wife of the late Nazzareno J. Ancona. Mrs. Ancona was born on February 10, 1938, in Norwalk, CT; a daughter of the late Sydney and Grace (Buttendorf) Gartrell.
A longtime resident of Ridgefield, Mrs. Ancona relocated to Florida in 2005. In her spare time, she enjoyed golf, gardening and reading. While a Ridgefield resident, Mrs. Ancona attended St. Mary’s Church.
Mrs. Ancona is survived by her 4 children: Matthew Ancona and his wife, Lisa Ancona, Cheryl Ancona, Cindi Ancona and Mitchell Ancona. In addition to her children, Mrs. Ancona is survived by her 7 grandchildren: Kristin, Nick, Jake, Christian, Allison, Alexandra and Gianna and 4 great grandchildren.
Family and friends will be received on Friday, March 10, 2023, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Kane Funeral Home; 25 Catoonah Street, Ridgefield. Interment will take place privately.
