Anny (Anna Pia) Gagnebin, 84, of Danbury, wife of the late Jean-Claude Gagnebin, died on Saturday, January 30, 2021.
Mrs. Gagnebin was born in Guttingen, Switzerland, on November 5, 1936, a daughter to Fridolin and Maria (Schnell) Fishli. She came to the United States in 1963 from Switzerland and worked for many years at National Semiconductor in Danbury and was a faithful member of the Baptist Church of Danbury. She was united in marriage to Jean-Claude Gagnebin in 1960, a marriage of 56 years.
She was a beloved wife, mother, and friend to many. She had a heart for hospitality, loved to play games, and gather with many friends.
Mrs. Gagnebin is survived by her two children, George Gagnebin and his wife Safy of Danbury, CT and Linda Ulmer and her husband David of Wilmington, OH, 14 grandchildren, Phillip, Paul, Ryan, Sorreea & Nathan Gagnebin and Sylvia, Victoria, Leandra, Riley. Geneva, John, Samuel, Gregory and Maria Ulmer and 1 great-grandchild, Mia Gagnebin. In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Gagnebin was predeceased by her 7 siblings, Marie (Maurer), Rosa (Hartsch), Fridolin, Marta (Scheidegger), Berta (Graf), Oskar, and Alfonz.
Funeral services will take place on Saturday, February 6, 2021, at 11 a.m. in the Baptist Church of Danbury, 14 Granville Ave., Danbury with Pastor Bob Payne officiating. Interment will follow in Wooster Cemetery, Danbury. The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. in the Baptist Church of Danbury. Facial coverings must be worn and social distancing must be observed.
