Anne Loven Willett

Anne Loven Willett, 91, passed away on October 9th at her home in Ridgefield with her family by her side. 

Anne was born in NYC on September 28, 1933, to Swedish parents Oscar and Linnea (Carlstrom) Loven. Although she resided in Astoria, she considered East Hampton to be her childhood home. She graduated from Syracuse University, where she met her husband, Don, married 57 years. They moved their family to Ridgefield in 1969 to a house on Pierrepont Lake. After obtaining her master’s degree, Anne worked as a school psychologist for the Mahopac, NY, school system for over 25 years. She loved the sun and the ocean and also enjoyed travel, golf, hosting her famous July 4th parties, and having fun.

Anne leaves her children: Krista Willett of Ridgefield, Bruce Willett residing in Punta Arenas, in Chilean Patagonia, and her two grandchildren: Ben and Caroline Hildebrand. The family wishes to thank RVNA Hospice and Ana Hueley Bispo for their help and loving care. 

Anne’s love of life will be celebrated on November 2nd at 11 AM at First Congregational Church in Ridgefield. She requests that people dress in celebration of her and avoid wearing black. Kane Funeral Home, Ridgefield, is in care of arrangements. In place of flowers, please donate to Ridgefield Historical Society.
