Ann (Darlington) Busino, 90, of Ridgefield, died peacefully on Tuesday, September 13, 2022. She was the loving wife of the late Orlando Busino . She met, fell in love with and married Orlando F. Busino while attending the University of Iowa. They were married for 70 years.
Mrs. Busino was born in Chicago, IL on April 2, 1932, the daughter of the late Harry D. and Evelyn Darlington. Mrs. Busino was a resident of Ridgefield since 1962. She was a faithful parishioner and a Eucharistic Minister at St. Mary’s Church, Ridgefield. She volunteered at St. Mary’s school library and worked for many years at New England Drives and Controls.
Mrs. Busino is survived by her children: Christopher Busino, Michele Busino Carrano, Andrea Busino Dolan and her husband, Jim, Robert Busino, and Frank Busino. In addition, Mrs. Busino is survived by 2 grandchildren; Danielle Stewart and her partner Tashia Jones, and Joseph Carrano and his partner Audrey, and as well as her great grandchildren, Gabrielle, Austin, Adriana, Penelope, and Taylor and her great-great grandchild, Roman.
In addition to her parents and her husband, Mrs. Busino was predeceased by a daughter, Linda Diane Busino Bryant.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, September 19, 2022 at 10:00 AM at St. Mary’s Church; 55 Catoonah Street, Ridgefield. Interment will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery; 110 North Street, Ridgefield. There will be no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the International Rescue Committee or to a charity of your choice. Kane Funeral Home, Ridgefield is in care of funeral arrangements.
