Alva Bound

Alva Bound, 83, of Danbury, died on Thursday, May 28, 2026. She was the loving wife of Andrew C. Lucchini.

Alva was born in New York City on March 3, 1943; a daughter of the late Charles and Alva (Root) Bound. She graduated as the President of her class from SUNY Albany in 1966 and went on to a long and respected career in Critical Care Nursing.

Alva worked at Mount Kisco Hospital (now Northern Westchester Hospital) and later Greenwich Hospital where she met many friends and colleagues. In her spare time, she enjoyed apple picking and Salinger’s Orchard in Brewster and later in life, attending NASCAR races.

Alva is survived by her husband, Andrew C. Lucchini; her brothers John and Charles Bound, her sister Virginia Bound, her nieces and nephews, Miriam, Aiden and Charlie Geronimous; Dana, Brooke and Lea Page; and Kelton Bound as well her devoted caretakers. In addition to her parents, Alva was predeceased by a sister, Aida Page.

Funeral services will take place privately; a celebration of Alva’s life will take place at a later date.
