Alexander Jones

Alexander “Alex” R. Jones, 33, of Waterbury, passed away on Wednesday, April 13, 2022.

Alex was born in New York City on January 29, 1989 and is the son of Richard Jones and Dorothy “Dotty” Weise. He grew up in Ridgefield where he attended Ridgefield High School, graduating in 2007. He attended Mitchell College and later studied at Western Connecticut State University.

Alex was a loving father who relished spending time with his children. A physical fitness enthusiast, he competed in triathlons, enjoyed playing basketball and practicing mixed martial arts. He was an avid reader, enjoying biographies and books on leadership and entrepreneurship. He held sales professional positions at various auto dealerships in Fairfield County including Devan Chevrolet/Buick of Wilton where his roles included serving as Assistant Finance Manager and Fleet Manager, earning him the General Motors Mark of Excellence award. Alex also worked as an insurance sales representative with The Hartford and most recently in the hospitality industry.

Alex is survived by his parents, Richard Jones and Dorothy Weise; his 3 children Mason, Aaliyah and Mia; sisters Kelly and Kimberly Jones; half sister Deanna Jones; step mother Adrienne Chambers; grandmother Nelly Jones; and a host of loving aunts, uncles and cousins.

Family and friends will be received Thursday, April 21st at 12:00 PM to 12:30 PM at Kane Funeral Home, 25 Catoonah Street, Ridgefield. A memorial service will take place at the conclusion of the visitation. Interment will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Ridgefield.
